Worlds Apart

Last night some friends and I watched the film Worlds Apart. It was incredible. It explains in a touching and interesting way nearly everyone of the problems with WT doctrine. The non JW will enjoy this film and come away with a better understanding of JW thinking. I believe that this is important since many people do not know how damaging this religion can be until a family member is already sucked in.

One of my friends wrote the following:

"I was very surprised how accurately the witnesses were portrayed. The movie didn't shy away from the emotional toll the dictates of the watchtower has on it's members."

Truly a movie to talk about. I hope that many people are able to see this in the future.

verdener/ Worlds Apart
Niels Arden Oplev, 2008

Sara and her family are proud to belong to Jehova’s Witnesses. In the local community they go from door to door and preach on Judgment Day and eternal salvation for Jehova’s chosen ones. But when Sara falls in love with Teis, she is confronted with the choice of her life.

Teis is not a Witness, but still their love grows through stolen, secret meetings. Sara is torn between her conscience, faith and passion; forced to make a choice between her love and her family that are worlds apart..."
